About Me

Hi, I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner originally from Idaho, currently transitioning from Las Vegas to New York City. I completed my undergraduate studies at Idaho State University and earned my graduate degree from Herzing University. My path into psychiatry was driven by a deep passion for mental health advocacy and a commitment to reducing the stigma that often prevents people from seeking care. Through my clinical experiences, I’ve had the opportunity to work with individuals during some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives. These experiences reinforced the importance of providing care that is not only clinically sound, but also compassionate, respectful, and free of judgment. I believe mental health care is just as important as physical health, and that everyone deserves access to support that helps them feel understood and empowered. I take a patient-centered, collaborative, and holistic approach to care, recognizing the connection between mental and physical health. I commonly work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and stress-related concerns, and I strive to provide inclusive, affirming care to people of all backgrounds, including the LGBTQ+ community. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can show up authentically and feel confident working toward lasting well-being.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Patients often share that they feel genuinely heard, supported, and involved in their care when working with me. I aim to create a calm, approachable, and nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly and feel understood. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is a priority for me, and I work to ensure that each session feels safe, collaborative, and productive. I place a strong emphasis on education so you feel informed and confident in your treatment decisions. Whether we’re discussing symptoms, medications, or coping strategies, I take the time to explain things clearly and answer any questions you may have. I believe that when patients are actively involved in their care, outcomes are stronger and more sustainable. My approach is consistent and grounded in authenticity. I show up the same way in every session, with the goal of building trust over time and supporting you as you move from simply managing symptoms toward feeling more stable, confident, and in control of your mental health.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins with a comprehensive understanding of your background, current concerns, and goals for treatment. From there, we collaborate to create an individualized plan that may include medication management, therapy-informed interventions, and practical strategies to support your day-to-day functioning. I incorporate therapy techniques alongside evidence-based medication management to provide well-rounded care. My prescribing approach is collaborative and flexible, meaning we discuss options together, review benefits and risks, and make adjustments based on your response and preferences. I view medication as one part of a broader treatment plan that also includes lifestyle factors and skill-building. Throughout our work together, I prioritize regular check-ins and open communication to ensure your treatment remains aligned with your goals. Sessions are structured but adaptable, allowing us to focus on what is most important to you while maintaining forward progress. My goal is to help you build lasting stability, develop effective coping strategies, and feel supported every step of the way.
